건설교통부 자료에 따르면 한강을 가로지르는 다리는 모두 34개로 신공항고속도로의 방화대교가 2.5㎞로 최장이다. 한강 위의 다리란 팔당댐에서 임진강 사이에 있는 다리를 말한다. 이중 한강대교가 일제시대인 1937년 세워져 가장 오래된 반면 가양대교(1.7㎞)는 지난해 만들어진 '신참내기'다.
