건설교통부 자료에 의하면 육상,해상을 통틀어 가장긴 다리는 부산시 남구 문현동과 사상구 감전동을 잇는 '동서고가교'다. 흔히 고가도로라고 불리는 형태로 10,800m나 된다. 1995년 완공됐다.
단일 다리형태로 가장 긴 다리는 서울외관순환선 판교기점 일산방향 37.46km 지점에 위치한 부천교가교는 총연장 7,745m으로 가장 긴 다리로 되어 있다.
바다나 강위에 세워진 다리중에서 가장 긴 다리로는 서해대교로 총 연장 7.310m, 2002년 완공된 부산의 광안대교는 총 연장 7.42km로 되어있다.
2000년판 기네스기록에 따르면 서해안 시대의 본격적인 개막을 알리며 2000년 12월 10일 개통된 서해대교는 총 연장 7,310m로 경기도 평택과 충남당진을 열결하는 국내 최장이자 세계에서도 열 손가락안에 드는 교량이다. 서해 대교 공사에는 무려 220만명의 인력과 각종 장비 45만대, 철근 12만톤, 시멘트 32만톤이 투입됐다.

The Seohaedaegyo Bridge, which opened Dec. 10, 2000 to mark the start of the full-scale start of the Yellow Sea era, is the longest running bridge in the world in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province and Dangjin, Chungnam Province, with a total extension of 7,310m. The bridge took 2.2 million workers, 450,000 units of equipment, 120,000 tons of steel and 320,000 tons of cement.
