우리나라 관광버스가 처음 나타난 것은 1931년 서울이었다. 경성유람합승자동차회사가 한일합자로 설립되어 16인승버스 4대로 지금의 소공동 조선호텔 건너편에 본사를 두고 시내 영업을 시작했다.
이 첫 유람버스는 하루에 두 번 운행했는데 아침 8시와 오후 1시에 본사를 출발하여 서울장안의 명승고적을 두루 돌았다. 차에서 내려 구경하는 곳이 13곳, 차를 탄 채 구경하는 곳이 20여 곳, 모두 한바퀴 도는데는 데는 5시간 정도 걸렸다. 코스는 남산-장춘단-창경원- 파고다고원- 한강 등은 내려서 설명을 들으며 구경했고, 조선은행(한국은행) - 남대문 - 동대문 - 서대문 - 경성운동장(서울운동장) - 경성제대(서울대학) - 대학병원(서울대병원) - 보신각 - 창덕궁 - 경복궁 - 조선호텔 등은 차에 앉아서 설명을 듣고 구경하였다.  유람버스 한번 타는 데는 어른이 2원20전 어린이는 1원50전이었고 10명 이상의 단체손님이면 10%를 할인해 주었다.
 

It was in 1931 in Seoul when the first Korean tour bus appeared. The Kyungsung Travel Donghae Automobile Company was established as a joint venture between Korea and Japan and began its downtown business with four buses with 16 seats, headquartered across from the current Chosun Hotel in Sogong-dong.
The first bus was run twice a day, leaving the main office at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., and touring the famous scenic spots in the Seoul metropolitan area. It took around five hours to get out of the car, 20 or so while riding the car, and one round. Course was viewed with explanation at Namsan - Jangchundan University - Chang Kyung-won - Pagoda Plateau - Han River, and the Chosun Bank (Bank of Korea) - Dongdaemun - Dongdaemun - Sungdaemun - Kyung Hospital - Gyeongseong Stadium (Stadium in Seoul)  For one cruise bus ride, the adult was given 2.20 won per child, and the child was given a 10 percent discount if he or she had more than 10 group customers.
