시트로엥은 비행기에서 힌트를 얻은 '모노코크' 라는 차체를 세계 최초로 사용하였다.  '모노코크' 의 원리는 달걀과 비슷하다. 100g 이 넘는 무게를 떠 받칠 수 있다.  달걀은 가로로 놓이면 쉽게 깨지지만, 세로로 놓이면 아무리 무거운 물건을 얹어도 잘 깨지지 않기 때문이다. 이 둥근 구조의 장점을 따온 것이 바로 '모노코크' 이다. 그렇기 때문에 시트로엥은 시속 60Km 로 달리다가 정면 충돌해도 실내가 전혀 찌그러지지 않는다고 한다.

Citroën used the airline's first inspired ' monocoque ' body.  The principle of a monocoque is like an egg. It can support more than 100 grams of weight.  Eggs are easily broken when placed horizontally, but when placed vertically, they can not be broken no matter how heavy they are. The benefit of this round structure is the monocoque. Therefore, Citroen said that the inside of the car would not get crushed if it collided head-on while running at a speed of 60km per hour.
